FASHION FADES: GET THE LOOK

Winter is upon us and I swear us Brisbane folk need to up our game. The amount of people I see wandering the streets in our so called 'winter' gear is ridiculous. I'm sorry but it is neither appropriate nor acceptable to be 'strutting our stuff' in a singlet and a pair of thongs in nearly freezing weather. I know our winter isn't nearly as cold as some but if you have goose-bumps and feel the need to drink your way to warmth you are clearly deluded. Personally, winter is my favourite season. How can you not soak up the opportunity to layer? Not to mention the wider range of accessories such as scarves, gloves, hats and my ultimate favourite winter necessity, a fabulous pair of boots!

So when it comes to finding the person who gets it right every single time, it has to be, without a doubt the wonderful, Kate Lanphear. She is the epitome of style and my number one fashion icon. She channels the winter look so effortlessly it makes me green with envy, literally. I've been sourcing pieces online to basically, mimic her look. Now of course this hasn't been an easy task considering what makes Kate so unique is her own edgy look but Fashion Editor of US Elle magazine is definately one to follow.
